It is weatherproof even without treatment, however it will lose colour and becomes grey in the course of time. This process can be slowed down by means of repeated expert treatment with terrace oil once a year. Thus the decking will keep its colour and remain aesthetic for a long time.

We sell only BIOPIN terrace oils made of vegetable oils and resins, but other manufacturers' products are also commercially available.

It is important to treat all sides and also bottom of the decking since it is subject to very heavy stress. We do not recommend lacquering since the lacquer layer may crack under the effect of the strong sunlight.

When laying the decking, it is reasonable to build it on a backing structure in order it should not contact the soil and can ensure ventilation.

It must be fixed with high-strength stainless steel (A2, C2 quality) special terrace paving screws on the Siberian larch wood frame (stud frame) of ca.  60 cm spacing.

The good terrace must be slightly sloping outwards if possible in order to drain water from the terrace.

It is reasonable to perform the surface treatment / oiling / prior to laying.

Manually: you can easily remove simple surface contaminants with a brush and water. You can use abrasive paper as well.

With machine: treat the high-pressure washing devices cautiously because too high pressure may even cause surface injuries.
